Rovaniemi Night of the Arts, September 12th, 2026

Rovaniemi Night of the Arts will be organized for the 10th time on Saturday, 12 September 2026, together with the City of Rovaniemi and local cultural and arts organizations!

On the Night of the Arts, the city comes alive with sensory-rich performances, workshops, open houses, exhibitions, and all kinds of surprises. The wide and vibrant programme showcases just how lively and energetic our small northern city truly is. Events also take place in unexpected and everyday locations, and there is something for all ages throughout the day.

Come experience how Rovaniemi transforms into a shared living room for people, art, and culture across the entire city!

The open call for programme is now live!

Anything can happen during the Night of the Arts, and we warmly welcome a diverse range of events. The programme can include, for example, workshops, concerts, theatre, open stage, exhibitions, lectures, performances, extended opening hours, low-threshold happenings – or absolutely anything else! We hope there will be something inspiring and exciting for every resident of Rovaniemi to discover.

The Night of the Arts will take place on the Saturday of Rovaniemi Week, 12 September 2026. Events can be organized at any time of day as part of the programme.

This year, events can be submitted to the programme in two phases:

  • The first submission deadline is May 31st. Events registered by then will be included not only in the Night of the Arts’ own materials but also in the City of Rovaniemi’s printed materials, which will be distributed throughout the summer
  • The second submission deadline is August 9th. Events registered by then will be included in the Night of the Arts materials.

The earlier you register your event, the better its chances of being featured across different communication channels—and the more potential it has to reach interested audiences! Event details can also be updated via email closer to the event.
