Urban Garden x Katos Collective – Rovaniemi Night of the Arts

The Katos collective’s exhibition is once again interwoven with the life and vegetation of the urban garden run by the Rovaniemi Urban Gardeners’ Association, situated on the banks of the Kemijoki. The starting point for the collective’s works is a jar of soil from the urban garden given to each artist. All the works were created during the 2026 growing season. The exhibition is open from 7 to 13 September. Artists from the Katos collective will be present at the Night of the Arts on 12 September.

Rovaniemen Kaupunkiviljelijät ry

Rovaniemi's urban farmers started their activities in 2014 at the Inapolu park plot, where they grew root vegetables, beans, peas, leafy plants and edible flowers, as well as traditional plants from the nature of Lapland. The aim is to create a space where people from different generations can meet, exchange knowledge and ideas about farming and put them into practice. At the same time, it will be an opportunity to expand social circles and create new contacts between different generations.
