A poignant dialogue between two actors and the universe
I could fly to New York and back every day for seven years and still not have as big a carbon footprint as having a baby.
Have you started to regret?
Ten thousand tonnes of carbon dioxide. Weighs the same as the Eiffel Tower. I’d give birth to the Eiffel Tower.
Written by Duncan Macmillan, this drama observes the anatomy of a relationship through a microscope, two people intertwined by love, with their plans, fears, needs and desires. The play creates a compassionate look at the little people fumbling with the big questions on this warming globe, in all their nakedness and comedy. Can life be controlled? How to do the right thing? What mark do we leave here?
The angular love story of the age of climate anxiety breathes lightly but strikes deep into the wonder of life, its cycle – and its uniqueness.
