Flamenco Artico presents a choreography by the Rovaniemi-based flamenco artist Pauliina Jääskeläinen, using the bata de cola. The music is Recordando by Finnish flamenco guitarist Toni Jokiniity, whose genre is palona on bulerias. Dancing with the skirt is the highlight of flamencodancing, and the bata de cola is carried with reverence.
Most dancers have had their skirts custom-made in Spain and some have made their own skirts.

The goal of Flamenco Artico's is to promote flamenco art and to raise awareness of flamenco in Northern Finland. We aim to bring enjoyment and share the experiences of flamenco dance and music with the public, as well as encourage new enthusiasts to join the activities.
